That's me (the one to the left), Jeudy Blanco, I'm the one offering my services as a freelancer. Tuanis is the word we use in Costa Rica to say that something is "cool". So basically, I create cool apps.
I've been doing software development since I was 19 years old. I've been lucky to work with great people throughout my career, so I've learned a lot. Pretty much all my career I've worked with teammates that are in different parts of the world (I live in the peaceful city of Cartago, in the middle of the beautiful Costa Rica) so I've learned to work well remotely. In fact, I worked completely from home for 5 years (from 2007 to 2012) with my whole team dispersed among different cities in the United States and Costa Rica. To be successful at working remotely, you need to develop good communication skills. Check what others say about working with me in the testimonials page.
During the last 3 years I've been working for a local outsource company where I've learned a lot about the latest technologies and development methodologies, mostly for a world class fitness company where I've worked with great engineers and had to interact with third party partners located as far as South Africa, the UK and Australia. This has been great, but I'm hungry for more, so now I'm getting serious about getting more freelance work focused on hybrid mobile development. I also have tons of ideas of my own that I plan to convert into apps and games (keep an eye on the Portfolio, it will grow, I promise).
My other side is the academic one. I have a masters degree on Astrophysics, and I'm a professor and researcher at Universidad de Costa Rica. I teach about Astronomy and Scientific programming with Python to physics students. This has opened me doors to travel to scientific events and schools where I've learned a great deal about High Performance Computing, which is a great asset when developing commercial software, and again, interact with brilliant people from all over the world.
This is me, let's turn ideas into tuanis apps, together.
